A proper post about what I’ve been up to over the past few weeks will follow, but now I just wanted to share some impressions of my past weekend in Milan.
Saturday morning I got up rather early (7 am), however I was so excited for my trip, that I couldn’t really sleep much longer anyways. That made getting up and going to Zürich main station, where I took the intercity-bus to Milan, easier than expected.
Welcomed by sunshine and super warm temperatures, I went straight into the city center of my new favourite Italian city. There I spent the afternoon eating, shopping and taking one of these typical tourist pictures infront of the duomo. Afterwards I went “home” to my god aunt’s daughter’s apartment in the south of the city. That’s where we had diner together and afterwards they showed me around the area.
On Sunday the weather was super nice again, and while the rest of the family went to the horse stables, I discovered the north of Milan. At first I went to an incredible grocery store and got some goodies for my loved ones, and myself. Afterwards I strolled around and found my new favourite place on earth; ok maybe not on earth, but definitely in Milan. It is called “10 Croso Como” and combines a restaurant, a rooftop trace, an art gallery and a boutique; so basically all the things I love; into one place.
After reenergising in this oasis I headed south to the duomo again, while enjoying the vibrance of the city and doing some last shopping. Unfortunately, in what felt like the twinkling of an eye, the weekend had passed, and Xandi (my god aunt), Andrea (her husband) and I had to drive home to Zürich already.
I guess since the weekends are so short, I especially enjoyed my self in Miland and am just so happy and grateful for the last weekend and this opportunity. Altogether I absolutely loved my stay, that really gave me an entertainment boost and I’d come back any time!
Hope spring has arrived, wherever you live too and you could also enjoy some warmth and sunshine this past weekend.
Love and kisses,
